Sri Lanka has always been known for its beautiful tropical beaches, luscious greenery, Tea plantation on the hilly side of the country, and more. This attracts many tourists from all around the globe. When traveling, the tourists always search for the best places to stay in Sri Lanka. I am writing this blog because even I searched for it on the internet, which landed me 1000’s of options.
First of all, let me tell you that Sri Lanka was my first international trip. This made my search for the best place to stay in Sri Lanka even more difficult at the time. Being the neighboring country to India, I ought to find similarities in the pricing.
You can find places to stay in Sri Lanka at every budget. The country is very budget-friendly to travelers. It’s a hub for backpackers. You can always choose your stay as per your travel style. I spent around a week exploring the country visiting 5 cities and a few towns along the journey.
I personally prefer my stay located centrally in the places I want to visit. This makes it easy to cover many locations in a short time. Here is my list of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka.
Let’s get started!
Things I take on my Travels
1 – Serendib Beach Hotel, Induruwa
This has been my favorite place to stay in Sri Lanka. It is just a few km away from Bentota. The amazing views from the rooms are definitely worth to relax. Almost all the rooms face the beach. You can also visit other places to explore nearby such as Galle, Unawatuna, Mirissa, and more.
There are many hotels on the beach stretch, but for me, the Serendib beach resort stands out of all. Considering it is a 3-star hotel with a budget-friendly cost, it was my obvious choice.
The Food here is great too with free morning breakfast included. Service might not be as quick but it could have been better.
