Himachal is a state with vast mountainous terrain. Only a few places are connected via railway in the region. One of the major railway lines would be the Kangra valley railway. The route starts from Pathankot in Punjab up to Jogindernagar in Himachal Pradesh. The Shimla Toy Train rail which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site has a beautiful scenic route. The route connects Kalka in Haryana to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. This Railway is an absolutely mesmerizing treat to our eyes. It takes approx. 6 hours for the journey
By Road:
The most preferred and easiest way to reach Himachal Pradesh would be via road. you will find many private and state busses that operate on a regular basis. The roadway connects Himachal from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand. It might take around 9-18 hours via bus to reach Himachal depending on where you start your journey. Choose Smartly!
I would prefer to travel in a private car/cab, as the journey is long and the roads are not that great.
