Vibhooti Waterfall is one of the simplest hikes you can go to experience a beautiful waterfall in Karnataka. Vibhooti falls is a year-round waterfall so that you can visit it any time of the year. The most favorable time to visit the falls is after the monsoon. During the monsoons, the flow is heavy and would be risky to visit Vibhooti falls. It is a must-visit waterfall in Karnataka.
I had visited Vibhooti falls during my trip to Gokarna in the month of February 2020, just before the pandemic took full effect globally. Furthermore, this was my only trip of the year.
I would like to tell you that I absolutely love waterfalls, call me an addict. It just freshens my mood. On my way to Gokarna, I stumbled upon the pin on google maps for Vibhooti falls. By that time of our road trip we were just 30 minutes away from the waterfall and decided to check it out. It was totally worth it. We have been driving around from Mumbai to Gokarna for more than 8 to 9 hours.
Just a small hike of 15 minutes and you reach this beautiful waterfall. It was refreshing after the drive. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Karnataka. You can also take a dip in the pond at the waterfall. It would take half a day to fully enjoy your time at the falls.
There is an entry fee to visit the waterfall.
Best Time to Visit Vibhooti Falls
The waterfall is at full flow during the monsoon and would be risky to visit. Although, the best time to visit the Vibhooti waterfall would be from October to January. The multi-tier waterfall is like smooth milky water flowing down the streams.
How to Reach Vibhooti Falls?
Vibhuti falls is a small waterfall near Yana, You can also visit the famous Yana caves in the region. It is not overcrowded like some other tourist places in Karnataka.
You can visit the falls from Sirsi or Gokarna. Vibhuti falls is around 45km from Sirsi and approx. 40 km from Gokarna. If you choose to visit the falls via Sirsi, you will go via Hegadekatta, Devanahalli, and Mattighatta.
You will reach a parking area which is also the entrance to the Vibhooti waterfall. From the entrance, you will have to walk for about 15-20 minutes. There are benches along the way if you wanna take a break. Once you walk towards the falls, you can hear the streamflow alongside the trail. The first halfway is well-paved while the second half is the usual hiking trail.
